CONCERT
A collaborative performance of Craig Hella Johnson’s three-part fusion oratorio on the murder of Matthew Shepard, featuring singers from Seattle University and the University of Washington, coaching by the composer, Craig Hella Johnson, staging design by Rod Caspers, and projections by visual artist Camilla Tassi. Composed on the eve of the 20th anniversary of his death, the work was premiered in 2016 by Conspirare and has been performed by 100s choirs around the world, leaving listeners hopeful and joyous, spreading a message of compassion and understanding.
