https://www.northwestgirlchoir.org/
Northwest Girlchoir is seeking a Prep Choir Teacher/Conductor to lead our 1st grade and 2nd grade classes. The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching young children to develop healthy vocal technique, musicianship, artistry, confidence, and teamwork. The Prep Choir Teacher/Conductor will nurture a love of singing and lay the groundwork for choristers to continue with Northwest Girlchoir for many years and to make music for a lifetime. The candidate should be interested in working collaboratively within the entire Northwest Girlchoir organization (artistic and administrative staff, 6 choir levels, 250 choristers, grades 1-12) to support our mission of transforming the lives of girls and young women through outstanding music education, dynamic choral performances, and an enduring community. The Prep Choir Teacher will share Northwest Girlchoir’s values of joyful music making, artistic excellence, education, racial equity, collaboration, service, and global awareness. Northwest Girlchoir is committed to racial equity, creating a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing experience for all choristers, families, and audiences. We honor each individual’s history, heritage, and talents. Our community is strongest when all voices are affirmed and everyone is connected through the joy of singing. The plan for fall is to return to in-person singing and rehearsals, with mask wearing and social distancing as recommended by King County and the State of Washington.
